My background is very international. My mother is Indian, but grew up in Switzerland where my grandfather worked for the UN at the World Health Organization. My father is Belgian, and grew up in Antwerp.

Both my parents speak five languages.

After I was born in Switzerland, we moved to Ecuador and then to the Dominican Republic - Spanish was my first language. During elementary school and middle school we lived in Florida, and during high school we lived in Belgium (where I learned Dutch) and then Pennsylvania.

I am a citizen of the United States, Belgium, and Switzerland.
